A dedicated family of HATM volunteers
serve as docents, clerical workers, and researchers. Our
volunteers also assist with restoration efforts and the planning
and construction of museum displays. In 1996, our dedicated
volunteer group contributed over 13,000 hours of service!
If you
live in the Woodland or Sacramento area, please consider joining
our family of volunteers.
Many of our volunteers started with little or no knowledge of the trucking industry--- just a desire to support a worthy project. Volunteers attend training to learn more about the museum and the trucking industry. In return, we promise the opportunity to meet visitors from around the world, the delight of showing people through the museum, and the rewards of preserving an important piece of American history.
